The remarkable thing about Dodge cars is their longevity. Other automakers release revised or reworked models every other year, repeatedly shouting “NEW AND EXCITING” to get everyone’s attention. Dodge does things differently. They make quality, hard-working cars that can stick around and hang with the competition for years to come, until it’s time to release the next generation of quality, hard-working cars. In between, they spoil you with some choice special edition vehicles.
Cue the 2014 Dodge Journey Crossroad. Following last year’s Blacktop package, the Crossroad edition of Dodge’s mid-size crossover features a fresh front fascia with a black grille and silver accents. The black and silver theme continues down the sides of the vehicle, with black 19-inch wheels, silver side sills, and silver roof rails.
Inside, leather seats with silver accents come standard, as does Chrysler’s Uconnect infotainment display. Under the hood, Journeymen have the option of a 2.4-liter 173 horsepower I-4 or a 3.6-liter 283 horsepower Pentastar V-6.
The 2014 Dodge Journey Crossroad will be available later this spring, but it’s also making an appearance in Chicago for next week’s auto show. The special edition will be a mid-tier trim level, and for more information on pricing, you can visit Motor Trend.
