For anyone who has ever been interested in either the Challenger or the Charger, we’d like you to know the 2016 models have finally arrived. Ever wondered what driving one of these Dodges would be like? If so, now is the time to come experience it first-hand. If you’re not too familiar with what each of these vehicles is made of, we’ll give you a quick run-down.
2016 Dodge Charger
Starting at $27,995, the 2016 Dodge Charger offers brute strength, head turning style, and cutting edge technology all at an affordable price. The exterior has a look that balances traditional muscle car and modern full-size sedan, with 11 different wheel designs and plenty of colors to choose from. Dodge puts the power of customization at every turn with their optional features, so you can get the Charger you’ve always wanted.
The most interesting of those options are the engines. The standard 3.6L Pentastar® V6 engine rides the line between efficiency and ferocity with 292 horsepower and 31 highway mpg. If you’re more interested in power, the Charger has a lot to offer. There’s the 5.7L 370 horsepower V8 Hemi; the 6.8L 485 horsepower V8; or if you’re feeling extra dubious, the 707 horsepower supercharged Hellcat V8. That’s a lot of power to choose from, which is great for anyone who likes speed.
2016 Dodge Challenger
Some say the Challenger is the only true muscle car still in production today; we would be hard-pressed not to agree. Its classic look makes us want to climb in and drive it like we stole it – which won’t be necessary considering its reasonable pricing. The 2016 Dodge Challenger starts at $26,995, with four trim levels that will boost the horsepower, and add some of Dodge’s most advanced technology.
While the Challenger doesn’t quite fit the mold of your typical daily driver, we wouldn’t discourage you from using it as such. It still offers 30mpg on the highway with the 3.6L Pentastar engine and a comfortable ride that’s sure to turn heads wherever it goes. Plus, the 3.6L Pentastar is building quite the reputation.
