There is no shortage of fun activities for the entire family in and around Wake Forest. That is one of the many beauties of living in this great area. With spring in full swing and summertime just around the corner, everyone is just itching to be out and about enjoying the beautiful North Carolina weather. Now is the perfect time to take full advantage of all that is offered, especially before the heat and humidity is upon us. Of course, there are plenty of indoor activities available. So don’t fret if rain or unsettling weather is in the forecast. There is always fun to be had.

Kick off your shoes, lace up those skates and get the wheels moving as you skate at Jellybeans of North Raleigh/Wakefield. What a fun destination for every age! If you need a break from skating, enjoy something at the snack bar and spend some time in the game room.

Located just outside of Wake Forest is Hill Ridge Farms. Here you’ll find so much to do – visit with the farm animals, take a train ride, let the kids exert energy out on the giant jumping pillow and bounce house, enjoy a hay ride and more. There’s fun at the farm all year long. In the summer months, cool off at the splash pad. During the holidays, drive through the Festival of Lights. In the fall, take a hay ride and pick out a pumpkin to take home.

Conveniently located in Wakefield Commons is the Marquee Cinemas. Check out the showtimes, buy your tickets, snack on some popcorn, take your seat and let the movie begin. If you’re hungry after the movie, make your way across the street to Mellow Mushroom in Wake Forest on South Main Street. Yummy pizza (and more) and a fun atmosphere for all ages  can be found at this dining destination. The outside patio offers a great space for customers to enjoy their food.
